Why I Created Gamble Investigates

By Ken Gamble

After 38 years investigating crime, it’s time to share what I’ve learned.

For almost four decades, I’ve pursued fraudsters, exposed criminal schemes and helped victims search for truth and justice. My investigations have taken me across Australia and around the world, confronting everything from sophisticated international fraud syndicates and organised crime to missing persons cases and complex financial investigations.

Through IFW Global, a company I co-founded and built into an internationally recognised private investigation agency, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some exceptionally talented investigators, forensic specialists and intelligence professionals. Together, we’ve helped countless individuals, families and businesses navigate some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable.

But after 38 years in this profession, I’ve come to realise something important.

Too often, the lessons learned from these investigations never reach the wider public.

For every victim we help, there are potentially thousands of others who remain vulnerable to the same criminal methods. For every fraudster we expose, there are others operating similar schemes, exploiting people’s trust, financial security and sometimes their desperation.

And that’s what inspired me to create Gamble Investigates.

Rather than continuing to work exclusively case by case, helping one client at a time, I want to use my experience to reach thousands, potentially millions, of people simultaneously.

Purpose and Education.

I want to give my investigations a greater sense of purpose.

Through investigative documentaries, compelling real-life stories and independent journalism, Gamble Investigates will take audiences behind the scenes of major investigations, exposing how criminals operate, how victims become trapped and, most importantly, how people can recognise the warning signs before it’s too late.

Knowledge is one of the most powerful weapons we have against crime. And I believe that knowledge should be shared.

This exciting new chapter also brings together two very different but complementary careers.

I’m delighted to be joining forces with my business partner, Justin Armsden, a former award-winning investigative journalist who shares my passion for uncovering the truth, holding people accountable and telling stories that matter.

Together, we’re combining decades of investigative experience with professional journalism and documentary storytelling to create something that goes beyond conventional true-crime entertainment.

Our ambition is not simply to tell extraordinary stories. It’s to make a difference.

We want audiences to understand the human consequences of crime, the methods used by those responsible and the extraordinary work involved in uncovering the truth.

We also want to give victims a voice, challenge wrongdoing and encourage greater accountability, wherever our investigations take us.

For me, this transition isn’t about walking away from IFW Global or abandoning the work I’ve dedicated my life to. It’s about taking everything I’ve learned and using it to achieve something much bigger.

As I enter this next chapter of my life, I want my legacy to be more than a collection of investigations and solved cases.

I want to leave behind something that continues to educate, inform and empower people long into the future.

That’s why I created Gamble Investigates.

Real Investigations. Real People.

The most important part of an investigation is being willing to follow the evidence, even when it takes you somewhere you didn’t expect.
